meaning: Demon (Oni is a Japanese version of ogre or a very strong monster with horns) with a weapon called the Kanabo.
I think the phrase means to give something already strong even more power, or somewhere along that line. I think..

Hi, I am a student of the person who commissioned this. Oni ni Kanabo was the name we used for our karate class, though it was under another school. We even went so far as to give new black belts actual iron clubs, and my sister and I still have ours. The instructor doesn’t teach anymore, but my time learning under him was very important to me, and this image is my symbol of it. It’s been five years, but I still use it as my Lock Screen on my phone. I was updating some things and researched for the photo and that’s how I found this post. Thank you for doing such an amazing job, and if you ever see this I want you to know how much this image means to me
