Just a little show and tell (Sumi/watercolor)by ~MyCKs

So this is my workflow when I paint my sumi/watercolor combo paintings.
After this, I scan it in, and combine it with my mom's awesome calligraphy.

This is a painting done on a sketch that was rejected as a commission. I just thought I'd use it to make a little step by step (well, it's not that detailed, but..)

I use a regular old thin watercolor brush for the lines. I think you can see a couple of them on the background of some of the tiles above. I used to use a thin oriental calligraphy brush, but I just realized I can make the same sort of lines with any kind of pointy thin brush
